Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins, the Mexican American broadcaster. She is the host of SportsNation and serves as an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She began working for ESPN in 2016. Her mother is TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins was a bilingual since she was nine years old, a valuable talent that enabled her to get her first position as a production assistant for Univision in Miami and allowed her to collaborate with producers of national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Her next job was as reporter for sports at The CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. In 2009, she relocated to Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she began her news reporting on KNVO TV 48 Univision. Antonietta still a senior at high school, yet she had a clear idea of the path she wanted. When she was deciding whether Mount Union was right to her needs, Antonietta decided to go visit the university. It was a beautiful campus and offered the degree she wanted. She completed her schooling and was accepted to the University with a degree studying media and communication studies. The relationship she formed was long-lasting with her instructor Mark Bergmann who was the supervisor for WRMU 91.1 FM of which she was a part. Professor Bergmann encouraged her to believe in herself and was deeply touched by his love of journalism.
